IT'S SUMMER!!! Yay! Pools, sun, and vacations! Summer is my all time favorite season, I can't get enough of the sun and my sister in law's pool :) So far this summer we have been to Girl Scout camp, hung out at the lake, been to the water park many times, and lived at my SIL's pool. At the end of the month we have Girl Scout Day Camp, and we are looking forward to that a lot! But for now, things are starting to calm down a little bit, and I'm totally fine with that.

I entertain my three kids (5,4, and 3) by not entertaining them. When I was a kid, parents had lives of their own and kids entertained themselves. My 4 yr old son takes my hangars out the closet and pretends their airplanes. My 5 yr old and 3 yr old daughters play dress up with all the packed winter clothes (well they used to be packed)

My boys each got their "alone" visit to Grandma's house. That way Grandma can spoil one boy rotten while I have the other one home for some one-on-one mom/boy time, then we swap and spoil the kids the other way. The boys love it and in the middle of the summer it's nice to separate them for a week or two. Then they are really happy to see each other again!

We've been having fun with an $8 Little Tikes ball sprinkler thing- you an have it sturdy or let it chase the kids/dogs all over the yard. Got it site to store from Walmart.com so no shipping. It's not available in our stores, but since we didn't pay for shipping we found it a fabulous bargain. WAY nicer than most sprinklers.

I used to work in child care and in the summer the kids always loved having sponge battles, instead of water balloons, you get the big sponges and that way you can reuse them, they just have to take a dip is a bucket of water and they are ready to go!
In the summer we go to camp and we collect rocks, we dry flowers and then in the winter we use the dried flowers/leaves to create cards and other crafts.
