My pledge to myself!

Man! Savannah has had poison ivy for a week, it's finally going away after getting a round of steroids. Chase. Oh, my sweet Chase! We had to lower his crib, he was trying to climb out! It just don't seem fair that he is pulling himself up on things yet. Today he pulled himself up on the tv stand, and pulled everything down, giggling the whole time lol! It was too cute to make him stop.

Last night we got to go see an advanced screening of Terminator Salvation! It was AMAZING! I loved it, the only part that was kinda blah- computer generated Arnold! But hey, I get it, he's Governor, right?! No cameos for him! It made my list of top 15 movies, and I love movies, so that's saying a lot!

I was thinking this morning, while I was taking a shower (hey, that's the only place I can think uninterrupted!) that life is just going too fast for me! I think I need to try to appreciate things more. My daughters 4 years on Earth have flown by entirely way to fast, and nobody even asked my permission!



When I was a teenager I lived by the phrase "Carpe Diem" it means seize the day. I'm GOING to start living like that again. I'm going to take TOO MANY pictures, and laugh TOO MUCH!! I am going to live my life instead of just doing it. Make any sense? It just seems like I've been going through the motions and not really checking in, I don't like that, and I'm not sure why it's happened.


I don't want to get old, and I'm only 26, so I probably don't have to worry about this for at least a few more years lol, but I do not want my kids to have the "old" parents. Or the parents that are so boring they would rather hang out at school than be home!

So, as of today I'm starting my journey, hopefully my husband likes the "new" me lol!

My heart is breaking

After reading the Freeman's Blog this morning, my heart is truly breaking for this family. Kayleigh was born premature, weighing 1 pound, 1 ounce. She has made it 11 long months, through many surgery's and procedures, but as of last night that beautiful baby girl will not be opening her eyes any longer. They call her a one pound blessing, and that she is. She touched many lives in her 11 months, more than most people can in a life time. Please take a moment and pray for the Freeman's, and hug your little ones a little tighter too.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I love Mothers day, not only does my husband do his best to make sure I know I am appreciated, but I also enjoy finding the perfect gift for my mom. My mom is an amazing woman, she has been through a lot, from drugs & alcohol, to my father kidnapping me when I was young, to many many other trials and tribulations. And still she acts as if nothing bad has ever happened to her. She is always there for me when I need her, and she always knows just what to say to make things better. I know I can always go to her when I need ANYTHING at all. She always finds a way to make things work! I love my mom! Here she is with my son.


Mothers Day also brings back many memories of my grandmother, she also was an amazing woman. I loved her so much, and I still miss her everyday. It's been 8 years since she passed away, and still I can remember how she used to cuddle with me on the couch, and play with my hair to put me to sleep! I was a grandma's girl from the word go, and was way hooked on me just as much! Happy Mother's Day Grandma!!


Of course, I wouldn't be a mother without my kiddos! They are my world. I never knew I could love somebody so much, but they have every inch of my heart and more! They are my spoiled rotten, mommy loving, terd buckets, and I LOVE THEM more than anything! My daughter made me a beautiful picture of our whole family, its so cute! I would be so empty without them, and I am so thankful for them!
My husband might have a little to do with my happy mood today too! I have yet to get a present, but he woke me up early this morning, whispered "Happy Mothers Day", and took care of the baby until he had to leave. We're going out for dinner tonight, I think to Olive Garden!

What a week!

Im clumsy. Its that simple, I have been my whole life, and its rubbed off on my daughter! This week I have hurt myself three times!
Sunday, I fell down my stairs, about 8 of them. Hurt my back crazy bad, I have degenerative disk diasese anyway, so that really sucked lol!
Tuesday, I put my fist through my back door window. For some reason I thought my husband would hear it if I pounded on the window! I was trying to get his attention to let him know that my daughter hadn't come in the house when he told her to, and she was right behind him. He was on the mower! I thought for sure he was going to run her over! He probably wouldn't have heard me pound on the window, but he sure did hear the glass crashing all over our back stairs! Then he saw all the blood! I think I needed stitches, but I have another big character flaw, Im STUBBORN!
Finally today, I face planted into a door frame lol! Im glad no one was here to see that because Im sure I looked stupid!
Hopefully since bad things come in threes, Im going to make it through the rest of the week all in one piece!
